Bridal Tips

Makeup Tips:

1. Custom Blended Foundation-Your foundation must be a perfect match-the foundation is the palette for the rest of the face. Never settle for less than a custom blended foundation for your wedding day. There should never be a line from the face to the neckline…custom blended foundation matches your skin tone exactly.

2. Dark Circles- Nothing can take away from beauty more than having raccoon eyes. To start, you need the proper concealer. A good concealer is one that has a high concentration of pigments and incredible staying power. “Pot” concealers are best for all day/night wear. Mix with a dab of eye cream for an easier blend.

3. Lip Power- Powder your lips before applying lipstick or liner! Line the lips then fill in with lipstick (brush only). Take a tissue and blot gently, powder, and apply again. Works great!! By blotting and powdering you are actually removing the excess wax in the lipstick that causes it to bleed. When finished, why not give yourself a pout and apply a dab of gloss smack in the center of your bottom lip! VOILA!

4. False Lashes- Many brides are daunted by the idea of false lashes. Don’t be! False lashes applied professionally go the distance in making the eyes the focus of the face. Single lashes applied to the outer quarter of the eye are natural and uplifting. Great for photos!!

5. For The Ultimate Finishing Touch- PHOTO TRICK- Apply a “Perfecting Powder”. Different from a traditional setting powder, these new modern powders go the distance in making the skin appear FLAWLESS & RADIANT. I like to apply it with a body brush and lightly dust it all over the face when the makeup is complete.

6. And last.....but definitely not least A "Clear Glistening Powder" (please no frosty glitter) applied conservatively to the décolleté area, chest, and shoulders can be breathtaking on a bride

Hairstyling Tips:

1. Make an appointment for a consultation well before the wedding. Discuss cut, style, color,
gown style and headpiece.

2. Come to the appointment prepared. Bring photos of what you like, and what you don't!
Photo's will help convey the feeling you would like to evoke on the day.

3. Dress appropriately. If your gown is white, wear something in a shade that's close to the
color. Choose a shirt that has a similar neckline to your gown so you get a good feel for
for how your hair will look.

4. Bring along your headpiece or veil. If it isn't in yet, ask the bridal salon to borrow a
sample.

5. Give your hair a break and help yourself relax.  A deep conditioning treatment 3 weeks before the wedding day will add body and shine to your hair.

6. Changing your cut and/or color before your wedding is not a good idea, so I suggest a trim and any color services 2 weeks before your big day.

7. Once you've made a decision to work with Blush Bridal Hair and Makeup a deposit is
required to hold the day.

The four most important words to a bride on her wedding day-- even before she says, "I do"
are "Here comes the bride." Make sure that heads turn as soon as you walk down the aisle. Blush Bridal will make sure that the bride is looking and feeling her best on her wedding day-and long after the honeymoon is over.
